Football Mid North Coast is excited by the outstanding response to its Coles MiniRoos Kick-Off programs, with 186 children registering across five locations in the region.
Designed for children aged four to seven, the six-session program introduces young participants to football through fun activities and games, helping them develop their skills, build confidence and make new friends.
Football Mid North Coast general manager Phillip Andrews said the response from families across the region had been encouraging.
"The response to the Coles MiniRoos Kick-Off programs has been outstanding," Andrews said.
"MiniRoos Kick-Off is a fun way for children to engage with football for six sessions where the focus is on playing games and having fun.
"We have great coaches in each program guiding activities to introduce young people and their families to football."
‘The program kicked off this week and there are still some vacancies at Kempsey and South West Rocks and we expect these programs to also fill in the coming days. The wet weather on the Mid North Coast has not helped this week but hopefully we can get all sites on the field next week.’ said Andrews
With programs offered across five locations, the initiative is helping more children and families become involved in football in a welcoming and supportive environment.
‘The exciting part about the success of this program is that most of the registrations are for young participants in the four to seven age range. The sport loses players of all ages every year for various reasons and having a program that engages these young players is great for the region and the future of football.’ Said Andrews
