Community grand finals kick off across northern NSW

Community football grand finals will kick off across northern NSW this weekend.

Thousands of players from across the member federation will get the opportunity to finish their season on a high after another big year of football.

Northern NSW Football General Manager Member Services Ross Hicks said it was an exciting time of year after another tough season which was impacted by weather.

“Players have put in immense effort to reach their grand finals and deserve the opportunity to be crowned as champions,” Hicks said.

“We wish our players, coaches, match officials and hard-working volunteers involved in the community grand finals the very best.

“While not everyone can be crowned champions, I encourage everyone to be a champion in the way they conduct themselves on the pitch, on the sidelines and online.”

“Be a champion for the game. Be a champion for football.”

NNSWF CEO Peter Haynes thanked NNSWF’s major partner of community football Newcastle Permanent for its support.

Newcastle Permanent, the official financial institution of Northern NSW Football, have proudly held the role since 2008.

The partnership has helped northern NSW families lead healthy, happy and active lives, provided valuable equipment and signage to northern NSW community clubs and helped stabilise player registration fees for families.
