Details for Australia Cup round of 32 matches announced

Broadmeadow Magic will be the feature match on night one of the 2022 Australia Cup round of 32.

Magic will travel to Victoria to take on NPL Victoria club Bentleigh Greens SC on Thursday 21 July.

The match, to be played at Kingston Heath Soccer Complex at Cheltenham, will be broadcast live and free on 10 Play. Supporters living outside Australia can watch the match via the My Football YouTube channel.

Newcastle Olympic will host A-League Men's club Melbourne City at No.2 Sportsground on Tuesday 2 August.

Newcastle Jets will host fellow A-League Men's club Adelaide United at McDonald Jones Stadium on Saturday 30 July.

The winners will progress to the round of 16, with the losers eliminated.

The 2022 Australia Cup will serve as a pathway to Asia as it did last season, with the winner granted one of Australia's slot in the group stage of the 2023 AFC Cup. The AFC Cup is the second highest level of club football in Asia, sitting below the AFC Champions League.

The 2022 Australia Cup winner will be crowned on Saturday 1 October with the final to be played just before the start of the 18th A-League Men's season.

Melbourne Victory are the Australia Cup holders, having won the last FFA Cup in February.
