FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy Tour 2023™ to visit NSW

The FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy Tour 2023™ is coming to New South Wales.

According to Pete Haynes, Northern NSW Football CEO “This is an exciting event for football lovers to see the most prestigious trophy in women’s football up close and personal.”

Haynes is enthusiastic about the football festival surrounding the tour saying “Apart from seeing the trophy, visitors can take part in a festival of football activities. The event includes face-painting, giant games, and a football-themed photo booth with costumes. Our football community can also participate in Miniroos gala days and women’s five-a-side tournaments and showcase their football skills.”

The FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy Tour 2023™ will also offer unique learning opportunities for referees, coaches, and volunteers. Aspiring or seasoned referees can join the Referee Workshop with world-class referee Casey Reibelt, where she will share her experience and journey as a professional referee.

Ryan Doidge, Northern NSW Football’s Technical Director alongside Guest Speakers, will lead the coach workshop, helping coaches take their coaching skills to the next level. Finally, the Volunteer Workshop will provide insights into how volunteers can help leverage the FIFA Women’s World Cup to benefit the football community.

The tour will kick off with a Club Gala Day, featuring MiniRoos-style games for U6 to U11 teams. The day will also include a five-a-side tournament for senior female players, a referee masterclass, and a coach workshop.
