Newcastle Olympic is seeking applications for the role of Head Coach (1st Grade NPLM) for the 2027 season, and beyond. It is anticipated that the suitable candidate will have the necessary experience and qualifications to fulfill the requirements of the role.
Applications should include your resume, referees or references, and a statement addressing the following criteria.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
- Successful completion of the Football Australia AFC B-Diploma
- Minimum 3 years coaching experience in a senior NPL setting (1st or 2nd Grade)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Availability to deliver three (3) training sessions and manage the required match days per week
- Ability to work within the club’s framework regarding list management, recruitment strategy, player budget, player development, training logistics
- Ability to co-ordinate with the 2nd Grade and Goalkeeper coaching staff regarding training session structures
- Availability for any sponsor requirements, including regular (weekly) attendance at post-match venue(s)
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
- Experience coaching in an NPL 1st Grade environment
- Experience coaching A-League academy teams and/or State representative teams
- Knowledge of the Northern NSW NPLM competition(s)
- Proven player recruitment record
