Kahibah FC face match official sanctions

Northern NSW Football can confirm Kahibah FC have been sanctioned for its second offence against match officials this season from one team.

The club’s reserve grade side received its second charge of R8 – Offences Against Match Officials (2. Using offensive language and/or gestures) late last month.

While the player received a six-match suspension (mandatory one-match suspension plus five additional matches), the club has also received sanctions including:

  • Kahibah FC Reserve Grade team deducted six competition points. This includes a three-point deduction for this latest offence, plus the suspended three-point deduction for an offence earlier in the season.
  • Kahibah FC fined $2500 with $1500 suspended until 24 July 2025, as it is the third offence across the club this season.

Any third offence within the Kahibah FC reserve grade team will incur a further three-point deduction and the club will be required to attend a disciplinary hearing regarding further sanctions.

NNSWF introduced its Zero Tolerance Policy in February. The Match Official Support Standards - Zero Tolerance saw targeted measures introduced to stamp out abuse and create a safer, more supportive and more welcoming environment for match officials in its competitions.
