Metford Cobras FC become 50th NNSWF club to earn Club Changer star

Northern NSW Football is delighted to announce Metford Cobras FC as the 50th club to gain one star accreditation in the Club Changer Program.  

Club Changer is Football Australia’s Club Development Program which was launched in February. The aim of the program is to protect and enhance our clubs, make them stronger and more resilient, lead them in building welcoming and inclusive cultures, and educate them on positive environments for players, coaches, volunteers, and officials while planning for long term viability and success. 

NNSWF Project Manager for Club Development Phillip Andrews is thrilled to hit the milestone in the program.  

“It is fantastic to have engaged so many clubs this far and for Metford Cobras FC to become our 50th club accredited,” Andrews said.  

“Club Changer was launched in February and NNSWF presently leads the nation with the number of  
 
Metford Cobras FC Secretary Jacquie Chamberlain is excited for the club to be a part of the clubs accredited in the program.
 
“Metford Cobras FC are thrilled to be part of the Club Changer program and appreciate the opportunity to work with NNSWF and Hunter Valley Football to assist in guiding our club to grow and provide more football opportunities to our community,” Chamberlain said.  

“Completing the Accreditation was straight forward and I look forward to leading the club through our action plan over the next twelve months. 

“We are excited to host our club Gala Day on 13 August and to deliver activities in term for that will bring new player into our football club.”   

Once accredited, each club is armed with an action plan that supports the growth of female participation in football with the focus right now on celebrating female football through supporting the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cupᵀᴹ 

Game Changer is available to every football club in the country. 

One star Game Changer accreditation involves setting up a club profile and answering the questions in the Women’s and Girls module before creating an action plan with NNSWF club development officers Brett Hodgekiss and Phillip Andrews.
