Northern NSW Football is pleased to confirm that kick-off times across premier competitions will be adjusted on Sunday 14 June, following confirmation that the Socceroos will open their FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign against Türkiye at 2pm.
NNSWF is committed to providing players, coaches, volunteers, officials and supporters the opportunity to be part of premier football while supporting the Socceroos on this significant occasion.
NNSWF General Manager Football Operations Liam Bentley said he was pleased to confirm the changes.
“We are thrilled to adjust kick-off times across our premier competitions in line with the Socceroos’ FIFA World Cup 2026 opener,” Bentley said.
“This is an important occasion for Australian football, and it reflects our commitment to supporting the game at every level.
“The adjustment allows our football community to continue participating in their matches while also having the opportunity to support the Socceroos on the world stage.
“We understand every club has different needs and we are happy to work together on alternative arrangements where required.
“We hope everyone gets behind the Socceroos and cheers them on from wherever they may be.”
Senior Football – NPL Men’s NNSW, NPL Women’s NNSW and HIT106.9 Northern League One
All first grade and reserve grade matches currently scheduled for Sunday 14 June will have adjusted kick-off times as follows:
- Reserve Grade: 9am
- First Grade: 11am
Premier Youth League
For Premier Youth League fixture days involving five grades scheduled on Sunday 14 June:
- Under-16s and under-18s fixtures will be scheduled for Friday evening
- Sunday fixtures will commence at 8am with matches played in the following order:
o Under-13s: 8am
o Under-14s Boys and under-15s Girls: 9.40am
o Under-15s Boys and under-17s Girls: 11.20am
Junior Development League
All Junior Development League matches will kick off by 11.45am at the latest.
