Northern NSW Football is delighted to announce its squads for the 2026 Football Australia Mitre National Futsal Championships.
The FA Mitre National Futsal Championships will be held on the Gold Coast from Tuesday 13 January to Saturday 17 January 2026.
NNSWF will send nine teams to the tournament including under-12s boys, under-13s girls, under-13s boys, under-14s boys, under-15s girls, under-15s boys and under-16s boys squads.
This marks NNSWF’s second consecutive year at the FA Mitre National Futsal Championships, following a successful return to the competition in 2025.
The return provides the best futsal players from across the region a chance to compete and showcase their talent on the national stage.
NNSWF Futsal Development Manager Damon Shaw was pleased to make the announcement.
“It is fantastic that NNSWF is returning to the Football Australia Mitre National Futsal Championships in 2026. It showcases NNSWF’s focus on developing futsal in our region,” Shaw said.
“We are taking four more teams compared to 2025, highlighting the continued development of futsal. The talent within in northern NSW is outstanding and I’m eager to see our sides compete on the national stage.
“Congratulations to all players and coaches selected to represent NNSWF on the national stage.”
The Mitre National Futsal Championships are Football Australia’s primary futsal tournament. The competition will see teams from each of Football Australia’s state member federations compete over five days.
