NNSWF announces squads for Tokyo under-14s International Youth Football Tournament

Northern NSW Football is thrilled to announce its squads for the Tokyo under-14s International Youth Football Tournament.

The tournament will be played Monday 4 May to Wednesday 6 May at the National Training Centre J-VILLAGE located in Tohoku region, Fukushima Prefecture.

The event will feature 12 teams competing in group stages and knockout stages followed by the final.

The tournament will feature FC Tokyo, Tokyo Verdy, the Iwate Training Centre selected team, the Miyagi Training Centre selected team, the Fukushima Training Centre selected team, the Ibaraki Training Centre selected team, the Tokyo Training Centre selected team and the Tokyo Junior High School Physical Culture Association selected team.

International participants include the Jakarta selected team, São Paulo FC, the Seoul selected team and Northern NSW Football.

NNSWF Technical Director Ryan Doidge was pleased to make the announcement.

“It’s fantastic that NNSWF is taking part in the Tokyo under-14s International Youth Football Tournament,” Doidge said.

“After a strong Copa Toreros Prima Vera tournament in Japan earlier this year, I’m excited to see our under-14s squad showcase their talent on the international stage.

“Congratulations to all the players and coaches selected.”
