Northern NSW Football conducted its 2024 Women’s State Cup draw on Tuesday morning.
The draw was broadcasted live on NNSWF’s social media channels.
The Women’s State Cup will return next month with the best NNSWF Premier and Community teams converging on the Lake Macquarie Football Facility for the chance to be crowned the state champions.
21 teams will take part in the three-day tournament to be held from Friday 12 to Sunday 14 of July.
Defending champions NPL Women's NNSW side Maitland FC were drawn in group C alongside Adamstown Rosebud JFC and community clubs Old Bar Barbarians, Hamilton Azzurri and University of Newcastle FC.
The 2023 Community Plate winners Cooks Hill United were drawn in group A with Norths United, Port UNited, Raymond Terrace FC and NPL Women's NNSW sides Newcastle Olympic and Warners Bay FC.
The NNSWF Indigenous team will enter the competition made up of Indigenous players and coaches from throughout northern NSW. For the first time, the side will be captained by former A-League and Matildas defender Gema Simon.
The full fixture list will be announced next week.
