Northern NSW Football is delighted to announce an exciting new department with a new Women & Girls and Participation division.
NNSWF has taken the opportunity to restructure part of its business with the objective to retain the talent that was already within the organisation following the completion of the NSW Football Legacy Program and the successful bid to gain funding through the Play Our Way program.
The Women & Girls and Participation department will be aligned to NNSWF’s 2024-26 Strategic Plan, dedicated to growing participation and supporting the game locally.
NNSWF General Manager Women & Girls, Participation Allana Neeve looked forward to the future of football across the region.
“I believe that this is an exciting new chapter for us all and I am confident that this new department will significantly benefit the football family. We are in the best position to deliver on our goals and support the game in every corner of northern NSW,” Neeve said.
“This is fully aligned with the 2024-26 Strategic Plan to help increase participation across all member zones.
“I am thrilled to announce that Helen Mosely, Natalie Boyd and Micheal Hugo will all continue on with us in new roles. They have each been strong performers with skills and passion for the game and are vital to NNSWF’s future success. I could not be happier to see them remain as part of our organisation.”
The new roles within the Women & Girls and Participation department include:
- Women & Girls and Participation Officer: Helen Mosely
Helen will ensure that regional member zones and clubs receive dedicated support and make NNSWF visible and accessible to its football family.
She will work closely with Football Far North Coast, Football Mid North Coast, North Coast Football and NNSWF - Northern Inland to drive participation initiatives, including for women and girls and underrepresented participant groups across the areas.
- Women & Girls and Inclusion Officer: Natalie Boyd
Natalie will support member zones across the Hunter region to drive participation, including women and girls and inclusion initiatives within the area.
She will also drive community engagement with the Newcastle Jets.
- Participation Officer - Schools & First Nations: Micheal Hugo
Micheal will identify key opportunities to expand participation and connect First Nations communities with football and lead the delivery of several key programs including NAIDOC Cup and First Nation Scholarships as well as provide leadership and coordination of NNSWF’s First Nations Advisory Group.
He will also have a significant focus on leading the National Schools Program, which NNSWF will be responsible for delivering from 2025 as Football Australia transitions the program back to member federations.
