Round one of the Southern Conference began on Monday night with the under-13s boys at Sports Parc, Cooks Hill followed by under-13s girls on Tuesday night, under-15s boys on Wednesday night. Under-16s girls will close out on the week on Thursday.

The Southern Conference will run over eight weeks, including one super round weekend to ensure teams complete a full double round robin competition before finals.

The Northern Conference will kick off in Ballina on Saturday and will consist of rounds one and two across the weekend.

Rounds three and four will take place in Port Macquarie on the weekend of 14 November before rounds five and six kick off in Coffs Harbour on the weekend of 28 November.

The top two teams from each conference in their respective age groups will come together in Coffs Harbour on the weekend of 12-13 December 2026 for the NNSWF Futsal Championship finals.

NNSWF Futsal Development Manager Damon Shaw said the launch marked an exciting moment for futsal in northern NSW, with the competition bringing together emerging talent from across the region.

"It's exciting to see the inaugural NNSWF Futsal Championship get underway, providing young players from across northern NSW with the opportunity to compete at a high level," Shaw said.

"Futsal is a fantastic game that offers so much to young players, both in their development and enjoyment of the game. Having an official competition like this is a great step forward for the sport.

"It's exciting to see the competition come to life and we're looking forward to seeing the teams compete over the coming months as they push to become the inaugural champions."
