NNSWF goes regional for 2024 AGM

Northern NSW Football held its Annual General Meeting on Saturday, taking the event to a regional area for the first time.

Opal Cove Resort, Coffs Harbour hosted the event, with the 2024 NNSWF Annual Report presented as well as the Annual Financial Report.

The NNSWF membership endorsed the re-election of Mike Parsons and Lauren Edwards to the Board of Directors, along with the election of Stephen Sneddon. Sneddon will serve a four-year term.

The NNSWF Board of Directors re-elected Mike Parsons as chairman of the organisation at a board meeting following the AGM.

The directors also re-elected David Willoughby as deputy chair.

Parsons congratulated Sneddon on his appointment and thanked outgoing director Mark Trenter for his service.

“I congratulate Stephen on his election and welcome him to the NNSWF Board of Directors,” Parsons said.

“It is an honour to serve on the Board of Directors at NNSWF, an organisation not only steeped in tradition and history but also dedicated to serving the northern NSW football community. I have no doubt that Stephen will do an excellent job.

“I am honoured that my fellow directors re-elected me as chairman for another term. Working with a group of people with such expertise and commitment is a highlight of my career and I look forward to us continuing to work together for the betterment of football in our region.

“I’d also like to thank Mark Trenter for his service to the board and the game over a number of years. Mark has dedicated a lot of time and effort to NNSWF and the game in general.

“I’m really looking forward to continuing to build on the strong foundations we have created with our member zones and stakeholders as we deliver on our Strategic Plan.”
