Northern NSW Football was delighted to host Football Australia as part of the rollout of its updated FA C-Diploma for advanced coaches last week.
Football Australia updated the course content to align with the Asian Football Confederation and its own coach education framework. Member federations from across the country travelled to Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility to take part in the pilot.
Football Australia brought coach educators together to ensure every member federation delivers the updated FA C-Diploma consistently across Australia while strengthening collaboration between Football Australia and its member federations.
NNSWF delivered an FA C-Diploma during the visit, creating the perfect opportunity to showcase LMRFF, demonstrate the high standard of coach education in northern NSW and support Football Australia with the pilot rollout.
The visit strengthened the relationship between Football Australia and NNSWF, as the organisations continue to work together to enhance coach education and create better development opportunities for coaches across the country.
Northern NSW Football Technical Director Ryan Doidge said the visit from Football Australia demonstrated the strong collaboration between member federations and the shared commitment to continuing to improve coach education pathways across the country.
“Hosting Football Australia and welcoming fellow member federations to Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility was a fantastic opportunity for us to collaborate and share ideas around coach education," Doidge said.
“The updated FA C-Diploma provides an exciting opportunity to continue developing coaches in northern NSW, while ensuring we deliver a consistent and high-quality experience that supports coaches throughout their journey.
“We’re proud to work alongside Football Australia and our fellow member federations to strengthen coach education and create more opportunities for coaches across the game.”
Football Australia Coach Education Tutor Chris Adams praised NNSWF's support of the updated FA C-Diploma rollout, highlighting the value of bringing member federations together to deliver a consistent coach education experience across Australia.
“It was great to visit the Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility. It’s a fantastic venue and we’ve had around 20 coach educators begin their journey with the updated FA C-Diploma," Adams said.
“It’s exciting for us at Football Australia to work closely with our member federations, supporting them to understand the updated content and deliver it consistently. By doing that, we can ensure coaches across every state receive the best possible learning experience.

Football Victoria Coach Education Manager Craig Moore highlighted the importance of bringing member federations together to ensure a consistent approach to coach education across Australia.
"It's great that all of the Coach Education Managers and Technical Directors from across the country have been invited to attend the first pilot of the new C-Diploma," Moore said.
"It's a fantastic opportunity for us to get some consistency around the course structure and how we can run and present our own course."
