Northern NSW Football is delighted to announce the members of its Indigenous Advisory Group.
The group will provide advice to the NNSWF Board of Directors regarding the NNSWF Reconciliation Action Plan and broader engagement initiatives.
The NNSWF Indigenous Advisory Group will also:
- advise on football pathways and programs designed to drive social outcomes
- share insights into current and emerging goals of the Indigenous community across northern NSW
- provide counsel on issues and incidents of racism
- provide advice on best practices in creating a culturally connected and safe space for Indigenous people to work
The advisory group’s members were selected from across northern NSW and will serve two-year terms.
NNSWF Legacy Development Officer - First Nations Football Programs Micheal Hugo congratulated the group members on their selection.
“I look forward to working with this group over the next two years, using their expert knowledge, insights and relationships to guide NNSWF on matters regarding First Nations people across our region.”
