Northern NSW Football is thrilled to announce its Futsal Coach Pathway, a development program designed to connect, support and develop futsal coaches across northern NSW.
Open to anyone with an interest in learning more about futsal and progressing within the indoor game, the program provides an accessible entry point for coaches at all levels.
Many of the principles covered are also transferable to small-sided football, helping coaches broaden their understanding and apply key concepts across different formats of the game.
Successful applicants will receive access to monthly online coach development sessions along with mentoring, coaching support and practical coaching resources.
Coaches will also benefit from match and session analysis opportunities throughout the program as well as guest webinars with leading coaches and pathways into representative programs and future development opportunities.
Coaches that are interested in taking part at the Football Australia National Futsal Championships are encouraged to register their interest.
The pathway has been designed to prepare coaches for the upcoming AFC Level One course in November, a requirement to coach at the showcase event on the Gold Coast in January 2027.
NNSWF Futsal Development Manager Damon Shaw said he was excited to launch the program and develop futsal coaches across the region.
“The Futsal Coach Pathway has been created to give coaches across northern NSW a clear and supported development journey,” Shaw said.
“We want to equip coaches with the tools, confidence and understanding to positively impact players on and off the court.
“By combining formal accreditation, ongoing mentorship and practical learning opportunities, we’re ensuring coaches are not just learning theory but applying it in real environments where it matters most.
“Ultimately this program is about strengthening the futsal community and building a strong pipeline of knowledgeable, passionate coaches who can help grow the game at every level.”
