Northern NSW Football is delighted to announce that four NNSWF match officials have been selected to officiate at the 2026 Football Australia Emerging Matildas and Socceroos Championships.
Isabella Walshe and Tess Brumfield will officiate at the Emerging Matildas Championships held at the Home of the Matildas, Melbourne from 9 to 15 April.
Callum Hewitt and Flynn Cope will officiate at the Emerging Socceroos Championships held at Valentine Sports Park, Glenwood to be played 18 to 14 April.
All four match officials are members of the NNSWF Referee Academy, overseen by High Performance Coach Casey Reibelt.
Emerging Matildas and Socceroos Championships are Football Australia’s premier national youth tournaments, forming an important part of the talent identification program and the national team pathway.
The four referees will be given the opportunity to be coached and assessed under the guidance of experienced Football Australia instructors during the tournaments.
NNSWF General Manager Referee Growth & Development Brad Carlin was delighted to have NNSWF representation at the tournaments.
“It’s fantastic to see four talented referees from NNSWF selected to participate in the 2026 Emerging Matildas and Socceroos Championships,” Carlin said.
“Each of them has delivered outstanding performances at the local level and we’re excited to see them showcase their abilities on the national stage. Their selection is a clear reflection of their talent and the quality they bring to officiating.
“These tournaments also offer referees a valuable chance to continue developing their skills while gaining experience in a positive and supportive learning environment.”
