An expression of interest form will be sent to attendees for clubs to complete and apply for a tournament after the webinar.

Adamstown Rosebud JFC competed at the prestigious Copa Tereros Prima Vera Tournament as part of the pilot program in April.

The under-15s girls team was awarded the tournament participation licence to represent NNSWF after Premier Youth League Girls clubs were invited to apply for the opportunity.

The Nihon University MOU and partnership with Estilo Travel allows participants to access one of Japan’s most prestigious football institutions, opening doors to university and high school football programs, professional club pathways, football academies and cultural immersion opportunities.

NNSWF CEO Peter Haynes highlighted the importance of creating new international pathways and opportunities for northern NSW clubs and players.

“This partnership represents an exciting step forward in providing northern NSW clubs and players with unique opportunities to experience football on an international stage,” Haynes said.

“Japan has a world-class football environment and through our Memorandum of Understanding with Nihon University and partnership with Estilo Travel, we are opening pathways that extend beyond the pitch, giving participants the chance to develop as players while experiencing a new football culture.

“We are incredibly proud of the opportunities this program provides and look forward to seeing more northern NSW teams take part in these prestigious tournaments.”

Estilo Travel Head of Japan Market Development Peter Gibson said the partnership would give northern NSW clubs access to unforgettable football and cultural experiences in Japan.

“Estilo Travel is delighted to be working with Northern NSW Football as official travel partner,” Gibson said.

“Touring to Japan provides footballers with an exceptional opportunity to develop their skills against some of the most technically gifted teams in Asia and beyond.

“As a leader in group travel, Estilo is proud to begin this exciting relationship and look forward to delivering exceptional travel experiences while strengthening the longstanding friendship and sporting connection between Australia and Japan.”
