NNSWF registration fees remain on hold for sixth consecutive year

Northern NSW Football is proud to announce that there will be no increase to its component of player registration fees for the 2026 season.

This is the sixth consecutive season that NNSWF’s component of registration fees have remained the same, reflecting NNSWF’s commitment to accessibility, affordability and value for its participants.

NNSWF CEO Peter Haynes said he was proud that registration fees would remain on hold for another year.

“I am really pleased and proud that our Board of Directors have endorsed the continuation of our component of registration fees for a sixth consecutive year,” Haynes said.

“Over the last few years we have worked really hard to diversify our income and improved our operational efficiency. This approach has allowed us to keep fees on hold while continuing to add and improve services and support for clubs, coaches, match officials and players across northern NSW.

“This approach has also allowed us to absorb rising costs in a number of areas such as insurance, utilities and essential services without passing these increases on to players while maintaining a strong program of football development and community support.

“We understand the realities for people and families out there. The cost of living is going up, as is the cost of business, which we are certainly not immune to.

“But by making our football family our priority we have been able to do our part to make football as affordable as we can while still delivering for our community.”

The portion of registration fees that go to NNSWF directly support the delivery of programs, services, competitions and development initiatives that benefit players, clubs, coaches and match officials across the region.

NNSWF players also contribute a small portion of their fee to the NNSWF Facilities Fund, which helps NNSWF member clubs work with local stakeholders to improve the quality, availability, accessibility and safety of their facilities.

Registration fees for players are made up of fees from Football Australia, state member federations (NNSWF), member zones and clubs. NNSWF only controls its portion of the registration fee. Football Australia, member zone and club fees are at the discretion of those organisations.
