NNSWF unveils Member Zone Infrastructure Strategies

Northern NSW Football has unveiled its bespoke Member Zone Infrastructure Strategies, focused on developing football facilities across each of its seven member zones.

The strategies bring together data on participation, population growth and existing infrastructure to identify what each member zone has, what it needs and where investment is required to guide future facility planning and decision making.

The documents are designed to help prioritise investment, plan for future growth, improve facility quality and capacity, improve the experience of all participants and create more inclusive environments.

The strategies were developed in response to continued population and participation growth across northern NSW, alongside clear infrastructure gaps in areas such as drainage, lighting and inclusive changerooms, as well as the need for a coordinated long-term plan.

The documents will help NNSWF align with government priorities and strengthen funding opportunities across northern NSW.

NNSWF aims to see improved facilities across the region, increased participation and retention, more inclusive and accessible environments and stronger, more sustainable clubs and communities.

NNSWF Government Relations Manager Gary Fisher was delighted to unveil the Member Zone Infrastructure Strategies.

“We’re excited to unveil these individualised Member Zone Infrastructure Strategies, which provide a clear and evidence-based roadmap for the future of football facilities across northern NSW,” Fisher said.

“By bringing together key data on participation, population growth and existing infrastructure, these strategies give us a stronger understanding of where the needs are greatest and where investment will have the most impact.

“We hope they will guide smarter, more targeted investment, support our rapidly growing communities and improve the quality and capacity of facilities across all seven of our member zones.

“Ultimately we want to create more inclusive and accessible environments for everyone involved in the game while building stronger, more sustainable clubs and communities for the future.”
