NNSWF welcomes new faces to NNSWF – Northern Inland

Northern NSW Football is delighted to announce exciting growth within the NNSWF - Northern Inland member zone.

NNSWF has taken the opportunity to restructure part of its business in adding an additional position to the NNSWF – Northern Inland region.

NNSWF has recruited Jess Kellaway as its Regional Football Officer – Northern Inland and Sabrina Katras as its Club Development Officer – Northern Inland.

Kellaway will be responsible for leading NNSWF’s commitment to growing and developing the game in the northern inland region. She will be the primary contact for clubs in the region and will oversee the implementation of competitions and promotion of NNSWF’s programs and services.

Katras will coordinate and implement club development strategies and initiatives across northern inland clubs. Her role will have a particular focus on building the capacity of community clubs and the recruitment and retention of playing and non-playing participants at all levels.

NNSWF General Manager Football Operations Liam Bentley was pleased to welcome Kellaway and Katras to the organisation.

“We are really excited to have Jess and Sabrina come on board with us. They each bring a wide variety of skills to their roles and are eager to hit the ground running,” Bentley said.

“In collaboration with community clubs, volunteers and other stakeholders, NNSWF aims to implement sustainable programs of excellence which aim to optimise the participation and enjoyment of players, coaches and volunteers throughout northern NSW.

“By adding the Club Development Officer role to the northern inland region, we will be able to provide a lot more support on the ground to clubs and the northern inland football community.”

Kellaway looked forward to growing football across northern inland.

“I am really excited about the opportunity to engage directly with all the amazing stakeholders that are involved in keeping regional football alive,” Kellaway said.

“I can’t wait to be part of the action and build strong, positive relationships with clubs, players and volunteers.

“As a female involved in sport, I am especially excited about the opportunity to grow women’s football within the northern inland region and hope to establish a Northern Inland Women’s Premier League in the near future.

“There is clearly a genuine love for football and a commitment to seeing it thrive in northern inland and I cannot wait to continue the growth and success of football in the region.”

Katras was excited to join the NNSWF team.

“I am looking forward to helping football clubs grow across the northern inland region so that everyone from MiniRoos to seniors can get the most out of their playing experience,” Katras said.

“I am looking forward to help grow participation and help foster safe, inclusive and welcoming environments for people to play football and, most importantly, have fun.

“I hope that by helping develop football in the northern inland region that I can make a positive impact on the community.”
