Northern NSW Football launch Female Coach Mentoring Program

Northern NSW Football is thrilled to announce the launch of its first Female Coach Mentor Program.

The initiative was designed to increase the representation of qualified and experienced female coaches while championing visible role models across the football community.

The program will be delivered throughout the 2026 season, with mentoring taking place across community football and National Premier Leagues Northern NSW environments.

Successful participants will be paired with specially selected mentors who will provide guidance through match observation and feedback, training attendance and support in building confidence and leadership skills.

Participants will expand their networks through the program and develop capabilities that positively impact them, their teams and the wider football community.

NNSWF General Manager Participation and Women’s Football Allana Neeve said she was excited to support the continued development of female coaches through the initiative.

“We’re incredibly excited to deliver this program in 2026 and to support the talented women who will be a part of it,” Neeve said.

“It provides a fantastic opportunity for participants to learn from experienced mentors, gain valuable feedback and continue building their confidence in coaching environments.

“Programs like this play an important role in supporting the development of women in football and helping them progress along their individual pathways.”

Applications are now open and will close on Friday 27 March.
