Silverware lifted as 2025 Champion of Champions tournament comes to a close

The 2025 Champions of Champions came to end after six thrilling days of football at Coffs Coast Synthetics, Coffs Harbour.

Clubs from all seven member zones travelled to compete for the championship title in their respective age groups.

Following fierce competition in the group stages and high-stakes finals, 10 teams claimed the title of champions.


Under-12s

BOYS: Yamba Breakers defeated Port United 1-0

GIRLS: Boambee FC defeated Bellingen FC 3-0

Under-13s

BOYS: Pottsville Beach FC defeated Woolgoolga United 2-1

GIRLS: Northern Storm defeated Bellingen FC via penalties 0(3)-0(2)

Under-14s

BOYS: Medowie FC defeated Nelson Bay FC via penalties 0(3)-0(2)

GIRLS: Northern Storm defeated Kahibah FC 1-0

Under-15s

BOYS: Boambee FC defeated Coffs City United 3-1

GIRLS: Port United defeated Adamstown Rosebud JFC via penalties 0(4)-0(2)

Under-16s

BOYS: Alstonville FC defeated Demon Knights 2-1

GIRLS: Northern Storm defeated Bellingen FC 2-0


Throughout the tournament 24 referees participated in a development camp with the aim of building and developing their skills as match officials.

Referee coaches carried out assessments throughout each day of the competition to evaluate each match official's performance.

Mya Weiley was awarded the Female Referee of the Tournament, while Sean Pua Bowen was awarded the Male Referee of the Tournament.

Football Operations and Compliance Coordinator Mitchell O’Keefe congratulated all participants on an outstanding tournament.

“It was fantastic to see teams from all seven Northern NSW Football member zones come together and represent their clubs and regions with such pride and passion throughout the 2025 Champion of Champions tournament.” O’Keefe said.

“Congratulations to all teams for their outstanding efforts. Despite challenging weather conditions, players continued to deliver high-quality football and display the true spirit of the game.

“A special thank you to all players, coaches, officials, volunteers and supporters who made this year’s tournament such a success. We look forward to building on this momentum and seeing everyone again in 2026.”
