Maitland FC, Weston Bears and Newcastle Jets are ready to represent northern NSW in the 2026 Hahn Australia Cup national round of 32 following Monday night’s draw.
Weston will face a tough test when they host A-League Men’s club Melbourne City, while Maitland will welcome NPL Western Australia side Fremantle City FC to Cooks Square Park.
Cup holders Newcastle Jets will travel to Melbourne to go head-to-head with NPL Victoria side Preston Lions.
The draw was streamed live on Football Australia’s YouTube channel.
The Hahn Australia Cup 2026 national round of 32 will be played over two weeks from mid to late July with fixture details to be confirmed.
This will be the second consecutive year that Weston have represented northern NSW in the national competition, while Maitland return to the round of 32 for the first time since 2019.
A 75th minute Brock Beveridge goal proved enough to see Weston Bears defeat Edgeworth FC 1-0 in their preliminary round seven match to qualify as one of NNSWF’s two representatives in the national round of 32.
Maitland advanced after a dominant performance over Kahibah FC, securing a 4-1 victory with goals from Daniel McFarlane, Angus Muddle and a Braedyn Crowley double.
Northern NSW Football General Manager Football Operations Liam Bentley wished Maitland and Weston the best for their national round of 32 fixtures.
“It is always a wonderful opportunity for our players to represent their clubs and themselves on the national stage,” Bentley said.
“A huge congratulations to Weston and Maitland for making it this far. We wish them all the very best as they attempt to reach the round of 16.”
