Community football grand finals have wrapped up across northern NSW for 2025.
Thousands of players from across the region finished their season on a high after another big year of football.
Community grand finals kicked off with Football Far North Coast deciders on the weekend of 29-31 August and concluded weekend of 12-14 September.
Interdistrict member zones Hunter Valley Football, Newcastle Football and Macquarie Football played their grand finals 19-22 September.
North Coast Football held their grand finals over the weekends of 12-14 and 19-20 September.
Football Mid North Coast and Northern Inland – NNSWF kicked off their grand finals on weekend of 19-20 September and concluded last weekend.
Northern NSW Football General Manager Member Services Ross Hicks said the grand finals marked an exciting end to a challenging season that was once again impacted by weather.
“Our players put in immense effort to reach their grand finals and they deserved the opportunity to be crowned champions,” Hicks said.
“We congratulate all the players, coaches, match officials and tireless volunteers who made the 2025 community grand finals such a success.
“While not everyone walked away with a trophy, I encourage everyone to continue being champions in how they conduct themselves on the pitch, on the sidelines and online.
“Be a champion for the game. Be a champion for football.”
NNSWF CEO Peter Haynes thanked NNSWF’s major partner of community football Newcastle Permanent for its support.
Newcastle Permanent, the official financial institution of Northern NSW Football, have proudly held the role since 2008.
The partnership has supported northern NSW families in leading healthy, happy and active lives, provided essential equipment and signage to community clubs and helped stabilise player registration fees for families.
