NNSWF appoint GM to lead female football, participation

Northern NSW Football is delighted to announce the appointment of Allana Neeve as its new General Manager - Women & Girls, Participation.

NNSWF created the new role following the completion of the NSW Football Legacy Program.

Neeve joins NNSWF from Hockey NSW where she was the Participation and Growth Manager.

She also has plenty of experience in football having spent almost three years at Football Australia as its Women’s Football Coordinator. Neeve also worked for Football Northern Territory as its Operations and Project Manager.

Neeve, who also holds an AFC/FA C Licence and is the junior coach director of her club, Queens Park FC, will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives to enhance football participation, with a particular focus on women and girls.

The role will be crucial in developing and delivering localised participation strategies that promote sustainable and inclusive football environments throughout northern NSW.

Neeve will work closely with member zones and clubs to create and implement programs that resonate with the community.

She will also join NNSWF’s executive leadership team.

Neeve said she was thrilled to join NNSWF and looked forward to getting started.

“Women and girls football is something that I’m really passionate about. I’m keen to jump into that space but I also have experience around the participation side of the game which I’m confident I can contribute to positively,” Neeve said.

“I think it’s really important that I spend some time to understand the landscape, look at the strategic plan and build those relationships in the football community.

“It’s not about having a broad, cookie cutter approach. It’s about understanding local opportunities and delivering the best for the football family in each region.

“I’m really excited about the opportunity and I can’t wait to get started.”

NNSWF CEO Peter Haynes welcomed Neeve to the organisation.

“Allana has a wealth of experience that she will bring to our business,” Haynes said.

“She has been working in a similar role at Hockey NSW and doing an outstanding job. But she also has plenty of experience in football which is obviously a huge bonus for us.

“I have no doubt Allana will be a great fit in this role and I can’t wait for her to join the team.”

Neeve will start at NNSWF on 17 September.
