NNSWF conducts Australia Cup Southern Conference preliminary fifth round draw

Northern NSW Football has conducted the fifth round draw for its Southern Conference of the Australia Cup 2025.

The draw was broadcast live on Thursday afternoon, with 12 teams from across the football community involved in the draw.

There will be three all NPL Men’s NNSW clashes, with Broadmeadow Magic to host Charlestown Azzurri.

Weston Bears will travel to Darling Street to take on Newcastle Olympic, while Men’s State Cup holders Lambton Jaffas face a tricky short trip to Adamstown Oval to face Adamstown Rosebud.

Edgeworth Eagles will welcome HIT 106.9 Northern League One leaders Toronto Awaba FC to Jack McLaughlan Oval, while Cooks Hill United take on another HIT106.9 Northern League One club in Wallsend FC.

Zone League Two side Croudace Bay United have been rewarded for their stunning elimination of NPL Men’s NNSW club New Lambton FC in the fourth round with a trip to Cooks Square Park to take on Maitland FC.

Southern Conference round five matches will be played the week of May 7/8.

There are seven knockout rounds to decide the two NNSWF representatives that qualify for the national round of 32.

The two national round representatives will also play off in the NNSWF Men’s State Cup final to crown a NNSWF cup champion. The best-performing community team from the Northern Zone will also face off against the best-performing community team from the Southern Zone for the Community State Plate.
