Northern NSW Football has conducted draws for the group stage of the Men’s and Women’s NNSW Regional Super League competitions.
The draw was broadcast live on Thursday morning, with Newcastle Jets goalkeeper and Coffs Harbour junior Ryan Scott involved in drawing out each of the 16 men’s and women’s clubs.
The Northern NSW Regional Super League will start in the coming weeks and will feature teams from three of NNSWF’s regional member zones.
The inaugural pilot competition will see the NNSW Regional Super League feature men’s and women’s leagues, each made up of eight teams. The competitions will be split into two pools of four teams.
Each team will play three match days with the first played by 31 May 2025, the second by 30 June 2025 and the third by 31 July. The top two teams from each pool will then advance through to a finals festival weekend in Coffs Harbour to be played in October 2025.
In the NNSW RSL Men’s competition, Inverell FC, Urunga FC, Macleay Valley Rangers FC and Woolgoolga United FC will face each other in Group A. In Group B Armidale City Westside FC, Northern Storm FC, Port United FC and Port Saints will go head-to-head.
In the NNSW RSL Women’s competition, Urunga FC, Oxley Vale Attunga FC, Lake Cathie FC and Armidale City Westside FC will face each other in Group A. Coffs City United FC, Tamworth FC, Macleay Valley Rangers FC and Port United FC will play each other in Group B.
NNSWF General Manager Liam Bentley was excited to kick off the NNSW RSL competitions.
