ON the eve of finals, North Coast Football’s top teams have wrapped up or are fighting to claim this season’s premierships in their community competitions.
Nine teams have remained unbeaten so far this season, including the Boambee Bombers (12 Boys 1st division), Nambucca Strikers (13 Boys 2nd division), Coffs City United Lions (14 Boys), Northern Storm Tornadoes (16 Boys), Coffs City United Lionesses (16 girls), Northern Storm Hurricanes (17 boys), Northern Storm Troopers (Men’s 2nd division South), Woolgoolga Wildcats (Women’s 2nd division South) and the Boambee B52 Bombers (Men’s Over 35s).
Coffs City United Pride lead the 12 Boys 2nd division by 2 points against the Sawtell Stingers, while the Boambee Eagles lead the 12 Girls by 8 points over the Woolgoolga Waves.
The 13 Boys 1st division sees the Northern Storm Tornadoes and CCUFC Pride both sitting at the top on 30 points.
The Sawtell Spirit lead the way in the 14 Girls competition four points ahead of both the Woolgoolga Waves and Northern Storm Chasers.
The Sawtell Scorpions lead the Coffs Coast Tigers by one point in the 15 Boys competition, while its also very tight in the Men’s 3rd division South with the Nambucca Strikers leading the Northern Storm Troopers by one point.
The Boambee Eagles sit at the top of the Women’s Over 30s competition.
