Become a referee

C3 Junior Football Match Official Practical Workshop (formerly Level 4)

To attend a C3 Junior Football Match Official Practical Workshop, a participant must be at least 13 years of age, have completed the C0 online FA Laws of the Game modules and also completed the four C3 online FA Junior Football Match Official Education Modules. Cost is $183 (includes training, clothing, equipment and registration)

Eligibility

  • A person must be at least 13 years of age now to become a registered match official.

Steps

  • Activate your Play Football account through Football Australia to place your learning registration into the correct Football Australia Zone (NNSWF). Please ensure that a participant has their own account. You may need to create a new account to initially get into the system if a participant is linked to a parent and you are running into issues. All accounts require their own individual email address, as those sharing an email will automatically link and can prove to be a barrier logging in. This may take up to 24hours to active in the Learning Centre.
  • Complete the Online Laws of the Game course (Laws of the Game | Play Football). You will need to log-in using your FFA number and Playfootball password. This may require you to use an incognito webpage to avoid automatic sign-in. A participant must be at least 10 years old to complete undertake the Laws of the Game course
  • Once completed, you select which in-person event you will attend and pay the $183 course fee to unlock the "Junior Football Match Official (Level 4)" course. Confirmed events can be found by clicking HERE
  • These four C3 online modules (and the previous Laws of the Game Certificate) can be completed prior to attending the in-person event.
  • The event you attend will contain a revision of the online learning modules, practical coaching and important local information, essentially acting as a final 5th module to the Course. A participant must be at least 13 years of age to complete the C3 course.
