Northern NSW Football has announced the recipients of its Local Champion Awards for April 2024, with one of FMNC's member clubs receiving the award for ‘Club of the Month’: Taree Wildcats FC.
Taree Wildcats FC have done an amazing job on and off the field to promote a positive football culture and environment in the local community.
Since the start of 2023, the club has engaged in the majority of club development opportunities offered to them by NNSWF and Football Mid North Coast.
Taree Wildcats FC successfully hosted summer football in 2023/24 that had almost 400 participants taking part from across the region. They have also hosted inter-club and under-12s gala days in early 2024.
The club has seen participation numbers grow in 2024, reinforcing the hard work the club do to promote football in the area.
Michael Wallace said: “To be awarded this out of 208 clubs is a great honour and it was awarded based on all the extra things we do to sustain and grow football in our area.”
The NNSWF Local Champion Awards are a monthly recognition of individuals and teams who make a difference across the football family, as they are thanked for their commitment to their club, team, community and football.
Congratulations to all involved at Taree Wildcats on behalf of FMNC!
